Latest stable v1.12.2, r7713
Latest beta v1.12.4 r7781

Version 1.12.4 (beta-1) Dec 10, 2025

This release adds support for new model variants and also introduces a new "client router" networking mode.  The antenna beambook has also been updated.

Changes (TNA-303L-beta1 rev 7781):

  1. Add support for the TNA-303L base model and to recognize the TNA-305X model.
  2. Add a new "Client router" networking mode that allows any 303L to operate as a router when 60GHz client mode is enabled. You can read more about it in the full web UI manual.
  3. Add additional USM support to the SNMP server when running SNMPv3.
  4. The antenna beambook has been updated with some optimized sectors for certain antenna kits.
  5. Update event log so that sensitive info, such as user passwords, etc, are hidden from view.
  6. Fix misc UI dashboard layout issues.
  7. Other small improvements or bug fixes not really worth noting here.

Known issues:

  1. DHCP lease time changes didn't take affect in the pre-release version of this firmware, but has been fixed in the beta-1 release.
  2. Speedtest will not be compatible with 305X models until a future firmware release.

What happened to version 1.12.3?  v1.12.3 was a limited-feature release that added support for the TNA-303L-65-LIB (link-in-a-box) model, so a public release wasn't necessary.

Version 1.12.2  Aug 28, 2025

This is a service release targeting the new model TNA-303L-65.

Changes (TNA-303L-final, rev 7713) 8/29/2025:

  1. Restored traffic control functionality.
  2. Fix bug that allowed an insecure password to be set at first login.
  3. Fix bug resulting in missing fields in the wireless API stats output.
  4. Allow to set a duration in the aiming tool.
  5. Remove some spurious log messages.
  6. Add support to recognize the TNA-303L-65 "link in a box" variant.

Changes (TNA-303L-beta-5, rev 7665) 8/5/25:

  1. A log overrun issue has been identified and fixed. This issue results in the device eventually running out of memory.  This is considered a critical issue

Changes (TNA-303L-beta-4, rev 7663) 7/28/25:

  1. Fixed the ethernet link status LED.
  2. Fixed a bug related to PTP mode (see known issue #5 below).
  3. Other misc improvements.

Changes (TNA-303L-beta-3, rev 7620) 7/8/25:

  1. Internal speedtest results are now accurate in both TX and RX directions.
  2. A bug has been fixed which prevented network settings from taking affect when changing from DHCP static to client mode, without changing any other settings.
  3. Fixed the site survey and temp channel change actions on the 303L.
  4. Fixed a web UI issue where a missing or misconfigured 60GHz radio caused the dashboard to show a system/internal error.

Changes (TNA-303L-beta-2, rev 7613) 6/24/25:

  1. Added support for the 2.4GHz Mediatek MT7610U USB Wi-Fi dongle for device management.  Once inserted, the 2.4GHz radio will come up with an SSID of tachyon-mgmt<last 3 octets of eth0 mac> and can be access with the passphrase 00000000 at 192.168.5.1.  Any clients will get a DHCP address within the 192.168.5.x range.
  2. Added significant throughput increases when data VLAN is enabled.  Non-data VLAN modes are also accelerated.

Known issues:

  1. Internal speed test results are not currently accurate on the 303L-65. [Fixed in beta-3]
  2. Site survey and temp channel change are currently not working for the 303L-65.  [Fixed in beta-3]
  3. Traffic control limits for the 303L-65 are not currently functional.  [Fixed in final]
  4. Ethernet status LED is not currently functioning on the 303L-65.  This will be addressed in the final firmware release. [Fixed in beta-4]
  5. PTP slave mode is not being set correctly internally.  A client configured as PTP slave will still connect to a PTP master, but it will not be optimized. This will be addressed in the final firmware release. [Fixed in beta-4]
  6. Some wireless peer stats are missing [Fixed in final]
